Converge

I'm not the neatest person in the world. I used to hate it when my yaya would fix my room without telling me (under my mom's orders hahaha) because when I have to look for something, I can't find it. I think that a little mess is fine. Though I'm not a neat freak, I know a lot of people who are. They're family members and friends who can't function with a messy desk. This docking station from Qrius is the perfect gift to give to them this Christmas.

Converge is a docking station for all your gadgets. It's perfect for those with lots of gadgets but not enough USB ports or sockets for charging. The station has 4 USB outlets and uses external power (110-240v) to charge all gadgets at the same time.

The slit at the back holds the wires in place and the curved shape keeps the wires out of sight. This way, your gadgets can peacefully "sit" on the docking station and enjoy the view. Haha! It really looks like a mini bench for all your electronics.

The slit for the wires is in a T-shape so that both bottom connected and side connected gadgets can rest on it while charging.  It's 310mm wide, 100mm tall, and 130mm deep.

It can charge most USB devices (iPhone, iPad, cameras, etc.) with the exception of Blackberry Torch, Curve, and Barnes & Noble Nook devices. It costs P1,800 and it's available here.

It comes in a slightly weird shaped box so I suggest using a gift bag instead of wrapping the gift. If you're too lazy to go buy a gift bag, you can make your own using newspapers, magazines, or wrapping paper. See my previous post on DIY gift bags.

Happy shopping and happy giving!!

The Nest is perfect for the boss who cannot survive a day without his tablet. He can rest his iPad on it either horizontally with nonslip rubber cushions on the back, or vertically using the hidden cradle. Without a tablet, he can use it to hold small items like his keys, USB, paperclips, etc. It comes in 5 colors- pink, blue, black, green, and orange. It's P680 and it's available here.

For gifts for your boss, I'd keep the wrapping pretty simple. No need for extravagant decorations and details. I don't think my love for brown paper gift wrapping will ever die. Here are some simple gift wrapping ideas for you to try.

Letting wine breathe

My boyfriend likes drinking wine. I don't like wine as much as champagne but I enjoy the occasional glass. They say you should aerate your wine before you drink it. You do this by swirling the wine inside your glass with small circular motions, emphasis on the word "small". One time, I was "aerating" my wine when I spilled some on myself! It was quite embarrassing. Good thing no one was looking! Haha!

To save your friends and family from a booboo like mine, get them the Crystal Vin Wine Aerator from Qrius.

It aerates your wine in a matter of seconds, enhancing the flavor of your favorite red. No need for countless swirling! It has a rubber holder for non-slip gripping. We surely don't want anyone to drop this while we pour wine above it. It also has a no-drip base for when the aerator is not being used.

The shape of the aerator allows air to easily mix with your wine, causing the wine to warm up and pulling out all the aromas in it. It costs P1,100 and it's available at Qrius Philippines.

It's packaged in a box so gift wrapping won't be much of a problem. If you're giving this to someone special, I suggest you add a bottle of his favorite red wine to go with the aerator. That way, he can try it out once he has opened your gift. Cheers!

Bobble

Bobble. Bobble. Bobble. Funny sounding word, isn't it? Sounds like a sound (whut?) that a fish or some water animal would make. Haha! According to Google,

bob·ble/ˈbäbəl/

Noun:

A small ball made of strands of wool used as a decoration on a hat or on furnishings. A mishandling of a ball.

Hmmmm. I don't think these meanings fit the product I'm about to show you. Let's try Dictionary.com.

bob·ble

 [bob-uh l]  Show IPA noun, verb, bob·bled,bob·bling.

noun

1.

a repeated, jerky movement; bob.

That's more like it. That meaning makes much more sense because the product that I'm going to talk about is the Bobble Brush toothbrush stand from Qrius. It "keeps your toothbrush upright and grime-free", according to Qrius.

via quirky.com

I think it's such a FUN toothbrush stand. Haha! It comes in blue, pink, and grey. It's this cone-ish shaped thing (for the lack of a better word) with a rubberized weighted base. The base keeps the stand in place while on any wet surface like your bathroom sink.

It has a hole on the top where you insert your toothbrush. It's form fitting so that your toothbrush won't fall. It can firmly hold all standard sized toothbrushes with the exception of electronic ones.

via Qrius

To clean the stand, you simply unscrew the top and middle sections. It's that easy.

via Qrius

It's a great gift for anyone really. They can use it for their toothbrush in the bathroom or any elongated object like pens and pencils in their office.

It's P600 and you can buy it here.

Since it comes in a box, wrapping will be real easy. If you want to make the wrapping just a bit more special, you can stick with the bathroom theme and use a towel/ cloth for wrapping.
